Contact, closing and two-factor

Contact Kwikbill
There are two ways to reach us, and both end up in the same place.
- Email [email protected].
- Use the contact form. Signed in, the same form is under Help → Contact in the app and in Settings → Account, with your name, email and business filled in, and you can attach a screenshot (PNG or JPG, up to 5 MB).
Every form message gets a reference such as KB-00042, shown on screen and emailed to you. Quote it if you write again. We reply within one working day, UK hours.
Close a business
Owners can close a business themselves under Settings → Account → Close this business. You confirm by typing the business name. Closing works the same whether your subscription is current or read-only.
- The business closes now and your subscription stops now. You will not be charged again.
- Invoices and other documents you have already sent stay downloadable by your clients, from the links they were sent, for 30 days.
- After 30 days everything in the business is deleted for good. Kwikbill keeps only its own payment and VAT records of what you were charged, as the law requires.
- If it is the only business you have, a tick box offers to also delete your Kwikbill sign-in and personal details. They are deleted with the business after the 30 days.
To reopen a business within the 30 days, email [email protected] from the address you sign in with. Once the 30 days have passed the data has gone and cannot be brought back.
What free access means
Some businesses are given free access by Kwikbill. The Subscription page then shows “Free access until” and the date written out in full (for example, 26 May 2027), or just “Free access” when there is no end date. Everything in Kwikbill works as normal and nothing is charged while it lasts.
If you had a payment method on file when free access began, it was removed. Add one before the end date to carry on afterwards at the normal price; the Subscription page and a reminder 14 days before the end say the same. If you do nothing, the business becomes read-only after a short grace period: you can still view and download everything.
Two-factor sign-in
Two-factor authentication asks for a six-digit code from an authenticator app each time you sign in, on top of your usual sign-in method.
- Open Settings → Security and turn on two-factor authentication.
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app, then enter the code it shows to confirm.
- Kwikbill shows you 10 recovery codes. Each works once, in place of an app code. Save them somewhere safe, such as a password manager.
Five wrong codes within 15 minutes lock sign-in for 15 minutes. Wait, then try again with a fresh code.
Lost your phone or your recovery codes
Email [email protected] from the email address you sign in with and ask for two-factor to be reset. We reset it and email you to say so. You can then sign in as usual and set up two-factor again, which gives you a new set of recovery codes.
